Have you ever urgently needed information but couldn't access it due to not having a citizen digital ID? This inconvenience may soon be a thing of the past! The Ministry of the Interior plans to introduce a super-convenient service - the 'mobile citizen digital ID,' aiming to simplify and smarten up your life. With the new service, individuals can access various government services by verifying their identity through an app on their mobile phones, eliminating the need for physical ID cards. So far, the service is available for NT$30 at 24 household registration offices nationwide, with plans for a full-scale rollout by November 25 this year. Embracing the new trend of mobile identification or sticking to traditional IC cards is now a choice for citizens.
