School Cooperative Accused of Not Returning Change! School: Reissuing Vouchers

Reported about 1 year ago

TVBS News on June 18, 2024, received complaints from parents that a cooperative at an elementary school in Zhonghe not only sells high-calorie foods like candies and hot dogs, but also issues vouchers with no change. For example, if a student uses two 10-dollar vouchers to buy a 20-dollar item, they cannot get back the remaining 5 dollars. The school criticized that it was taking students’ money. In response, the school will hold the outsourcing company accountable for the violations and request the cooperative to reissue vouchers to the students. The school food regulations specify that snacks sold should be under 250 kcal, including juices, milk, soy milk, yogurt, packaged water, and mineral water only.
