Scottish Asset Manager Baillie Gifford Supports Elon Musk's $56 Billion Pay at Tesla

Reported 11 months ago

Scottish asset manager Baillie Gifford, a long-time Tesla shareholder, will vote in favor of Elon Musk's $56 billion pay package at the upcoming annual general meeting. Baillie Gifford supports the pay award due to its ambitious targets set in 2018 and alignment with shareholder returns. Despite some opposition from large shareholders and proxy advisers, Teslas' shareholders had previously endorsed Musk's pay, which had been invalidated by a court in January. Baillie Gifford, once Tesla's second-largest shareholder, currently holds about 0.5% of the company across its funds and had reduced its stake starting in 2020.
