Since May of this year, Taoyuan City has been providing free removal services for asbestos building materials waste up to 150 tons. The application period lasts until October 31 of this year, with possible early closure if the application limit is reached. As 50% of the applications have been received since May, the city government urges eligible citizens to seize the final opportunity to apply. The service is free for households, individual agricultural facilities, temples, and churches, reducing the burden of handling asbestos waste. However, the government only offers free removal services and not demolition services, requiring individuals to handle the dismantling and packaging of asbestos waste themselves while ensuring personal protection during the process.
