A shocking accident occurred outside Taipei Station in Taipei City last night. A Guoguang bus driven by a driver surnamed Lin hit a 70-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the road, while making a right turn at the intersection of Zhongxiao West Road and Gongyuan Road. The elderly man was rolled under the bus and trapped, but fortunately, he only suffered fractures in his hands and feet, had clear consciousness, and was not in life-threatening condition after being rescued by a large number of police and firefighters on the scene. The driver was suspected to have failed to notice the pedestrian due to a blind spot and immediately applied the brakes after realizing what happened.
