Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers is progressing in his recovery from elbow surgery and has started throwing from 60 feet, clocked at 80 mph. He is not expected to pitch this season but could potentially participate in simulated games by September. Ohtani continues to excel as a hitter despite dealing with a bruised hamstring, leading MLB in batting average, slugging percentage, and OPS.
