Due to sidewalk vendors illegally occupying roads, leading to traffic congestion and affecting pedestrian traffic flow near Nantun Market in Taichung, the police in the Fourth Precinct issued at least 20 advisory notices recently to encourage vendors to 'return the road to the people.' They held a coordination meeting with relevant units and market representatives hoping to reach a consensus for a win-win situation between vendors and road users. With a phased enforcement approach, the police were able to restore order and cooperation among vendors, ensuring smoother traffic and a cleaner environment in the area.
