As reported by Reuters, Singapore-based semiconductor firm Silicon Box is planning to establish a multibillion-euro chip factory in Novara, Piedmont, Italy, investing 3.2 billion euros ($3.4 billion) to produce chiplets. These tiny chiplets are essential components that can be assembled into larger processors, with the initiative expected to create 1,600 direct jobs and further stimulate the Italian tech industry. This project aligns with Italy's strategy to attract technology investments, with the final location confirmation expected on June 28.
