An interactive machine at the Kaohsiung Museum of Science and Technology featuring Simplified Chinese characters has sparked concerns among parents and lawmakers regarding potential cybersecurity risks. The machine, which compares users' faces to those of terracotta warriors, has been temporarily suspended for investigation as it is unknown if the software is developed in mainland China. The museum has clarified that the device will only be reopened once software safety is confirmed, otherwise the exhibit will be shut down.Various concerns have been raised, including worries about facial recognition data being shared with mainland databases.
