SK Hynix, a key supplier for Nvidia, announced a record profit in Q3, driven by robust sales of its high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips. The company dismissed fears of an oversupply in the AI chip market, forecasting that demand would continue to exceed supply due to ongoing technological challenges in chip production. With a substantial increase in revenue and a significant rise in HBM sales, SK Hynix reinforced its leading position in the market, while plans for increased capital spending were also revealed to meet the growing demand.
