SK Hynix Unveils Power-Efficient Sixth-Gen DRAM Chip

SK Hynix has developed the first sixth-generation 10-nanometre DRAM chip, called 16Gb 1c DDR5, with over 9% improved power efficiency compared to its predecessor. This advancement can potentially reduce electricity costs in data centres by up to 30% amidst the ongoing AI boom. The company plans to begin mass shipments of this innovative chip next year.
