Skydance Media has made an improved offer for Paramount Global, according to a source. The new deal benefits both classes of Paramount shareholders with increased cash, although specific details of the offer are not yet known. This comes after Skydance's initial proposal involving a $2 billion payment to acquire the Redstone family's holding company, followed by Paramount acquiring Skydance in an all-stock transaction worth around $5 billion. Another bidder, Sony Pictures Entertainment in partnership with Apollo Global Management, is also interested in acquiring the U.S. media company.
