South Korea's exports dropped 5.2% in the first 20 days of April compared to the previous year, primarily due to a 14.3% decrease in shipments to the U.S. influenced by new tariffs implemented by President Trump. Although exports to China also saw a decline, shipments to the European Union increased by 13.8%. Notably, exports of automobiles fell by 6.5%, while semiconductor exports rose by 10.7%.
