South Korea will conduct final tests before extending the trading hours for the won, allowing trading to continue past the current 3:30 p.m. closing time and last through 2 a.m. Onshore currency trading will extend to 2 a.m. from July 1, aiming to enhance foreign investor access. Pilot tests have been conducted to ensure smooth trading during the extended hours, with the upcoming trials being the last before implementation.
