Reported about 1 year ago

On June 8, 2024, Central News Network reported that due to a lingering front on the northern Taiwan sea surface and the influence of southwest winds, the weather will gradually become unstable from the 9th to the 10th with sporadic short showers or thunderstorms in central and southern Taiwan. Afternoon showers in mountainous areas, Yilan and Hualien, and the greater Taipei area are expected to be heavier. Liu Peiteng, a forecaster from the Central Weather Bureau, stated that due to the southwest winds, rainfall is likely throughout Taiwan next week. The situation with thunderstorms should improve after the 11th. Temperatures are expected to range from 29 to 32 degrees during the rainy period. After the 11th, parts of central and southern Taiwan may see temperatures rise to 36 degrees. Additionally, there may be scattered strong winds in the southeast from the 12th to the 16th.
