Liyu Lake Reservoir, which supplies water for Miaoli, Taichung, and northern Changhua, experienced a significant increase in water level reaching 99.9% due to rainfall in April and May. The unique 'Sawtooth Weir' overflow spillway at the reservoir, designed to release excess water naturally, created a magnificent waterfall-like spectacle attracting many spectators. This multifunctional reservoir serves as a scenic spot for relaxation, water supply, flood control, and power generation.
