Starbucks is introducing limitations on mobile orders to streamline service and alleviate pressure on baristas. The maximum number of items per order will be reduced from 15 to 12, and some modification options have been removed to curb complexity. CEO Brian Niccol aims to improve the customer experience and reduce delays by testing algorithms for order sequencing and designated pickup time slots, alongside a planned 30% reduction of their food and beverage lineup.
