Streaming Usage Sets New Record in May, Tubi and Roku Achieve Highs

In May, streaming as a means of TV consumption reached an all-time high, accounting for 38.8% of all viewing, according to Nielsen. Netflix's 'Bridgerton' was the most-watched streaming title in May, with the first four episodes of Season 3 accumulating over 5.5 billion viewing minutes. YouTube claimed the largest share of streaming platforms, followed by Netflix. Fast platforms Tubi and The Roku Channel hit highs with 1.8% and 1.5% shares respectively, experiencing a significant year-over-year increase. Cable viewing slightly decreased to 28.2% of overall TV usage, while broadcast TV saw a slight increase to 22.3%.
