To achieve housing justice, as of the end of May this year, the Land Administration Bureau has approved rent subsidies for 540,000 households and successfully matched 111,000 households with managed public rental housing, providing support to over 650,000 households. More than half of the beneficiaries are young adults aged 18 to 39, totaling 330,000 households. To prevent landlords from profiting from electricity price differentials, the Ministry of the Interior is amending the standardized residential lease contract to regulate electricity fees, with the proposal expected to be implemented in mid-July. The policy has significantly reduced the housing burden for young adults and elderly renters, with over 6,100 elderly tenants benefiting from the housing support programs.
