A recent survey by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation revealed that there is a lack of consensus in Taiwan society regarding the non-nuclear homeland policy advocated by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government. The survey showed that 42.4% of respondents generally support the policy, while 45.8% oppose it, indicating a 3.4% higher opposition rate. The policy seems to be based on minority support, with various age groups and education levels leaning towards disapproval rather than support. The DPP supporters are about 70% in favor, while the majority of Kuomintang (KMT) and People First Party (PFP) supporters are against it.
