Survey Reveals 76.8% Identify as Taiwanese with Slight Increase of 0.8% - Analyst Attributes to Impact of Huang Jen-Hsun's Visit

Reported 9 months ago

The Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation recently released the latest national identity survey, showing that 77% of Taiwanese aged 20 and above identify as Taiwanese, with only 6.6% having dual identity and 6.6% identifying as Chinese. The slight increase in Taiwanese identity by 0.8% is attributed to the 'Jensanity' sparked by Huang Jen-Hsun's visit to Taiwan. Different age groups and political affiliations also exhibit varying levels of national identity, with younger age groups and supporters of different parties leaning more towards Taiwanese identity.
