A survey conducted by Clever Real Estate revealed a significant gap in opinions between the general public and real estate agents regarding the National Association of Realtors’ commission lawsuit settlement. While 67% of consumers support the outlined changes, 70% of agents oppose them. The survey also highlighted contrasting views on the impacts of the settlement, with agents foreseeing negative consequences for business and consumer concerns ranging from increased burdens on buyers to uncertainty in the market. Despite these disparities, both groups agree that the settlement will affect future homebuyers and sellers, with differing opinions on who will benefit the most.
