Tainan mangoes achieved a new milestone in exportation by entering the Kansai region of Japan for the first time this year, following successful sales in the Kanto and Kyushu regions. The renowned Aiwendou mangoes from Tainan are now available in a popular chain supermarket in Kansai, with plans to expand to more branches due to high demand. Mayor Huang Wei-che once again took on the role of a promoter by offering mango tastings to the public, aiming to further market Tainan's agricultural specialties, including dragon fruits, in Japan for potential future collaborations.
