During the peak season of Tainan's Aiwen mangoes, Mayor Huang Wei-Che traveled to Hokkaido to participate in the largest local festival, the Sapporo Festival, where he personally served as a salesperson, offering food samples and setting up a pop-up booth selling mango ice cream and other Taiwanese delicacies. A parade featuring a dance performance by the Tainan University of Applied Sciences took place at the festival, astonishing local residents. This initiative by Tainan City to market local agricultural specialties in Hokkaido, covering a distance of nearly 3,000 kilometers, was well-received, especially with Mayor Huang's active involvement in promoting Tainan's produce.
