On June 19, Democratic Progressive Party Taipei City Councilor Hsu Shu-hua criticized the expansion of legislators' powers, emphasizing that she would not launch a recall of Legislator Hsu Chiao-hsin as it should be a spontaneous act by the public. However, an elderly woman nearby passionately shouted that they would initiate it, expressing disapproval of the legislator's conduct. Hsu urged support for the revisiting bill to prevent the infringement of people's rights by certain lawmakers.
