In an announcement by the Taipei City Health Bureau, it was revealed that out of 52 fresh produce items inspected for pesticide residue, 12 were deemed unsatisfactory, notably including basil, chive blossoms, and white radishes. Some violating products were found in markets and stores such as Shin Yeh Vegetables, Breeze Supermarket, and Chao Wei Soup Braised Pork Store. Offending manufacturers face fines ranging from NT$60,000 to NT$200 million for violations of food safety regulations.
