Taipei City Government Awards NT$41.6 Million to Athletes and Coaches

Following outstanding performances in the 113th National Junior Games and Student Sports Leagues, the Taipei City Government has decided to award a total of NT$41.6 million in sports bonuses to support excellent coaches and athletes so they can continue training and bring honor to Taipei. Notably, the Taipei City delegation won 110 gold, 110 silver, and 122 bronze medals in the 113th National Junior Games, with 32 gold medals in cycling competitions. Mayor Lu Shiow-yen instructed the Education Bureau to disburse over NT$35 million in sports bonuses, with additional bonuses for schools producing top results. In addition to the National Junior Games, Taipei school sports teams excelled in student volleyball, softball, soccer, and baseball leagues, winning 5 championships, 2 second places, and 2 third places. The Education Bureau has allocated over NT$6.5 million for sports bonuses to top schools in league competitions to assist in the continuous development of sports teams.
