Taipei City Government Compensates Tourists for Damaged Cameras at Lantern Festival

During the Lantern Festival in Central Taiwan in February, multiple tourists had their phone cameras damaged by strong laser lights while capturing the 'Time Wormhole' exhibition, resulting in purple spots resembling floaters. The Taipei City Government received 9 compensation claims for phone damages, totaling over NT$35,000. The government has already compensated the affected tourists and will enhance regulations for laser light usage in future events to prevent similar incidents.
