Taipei City Mayor Lu Shiow-Yen announced the launch of the 'Goods Voucher' starting from June 20, where people can exchange NT$100 for NT$200 worth of goods, effectively making the money worth more. The voucher is subsidized by the government and functions like a 50% discount on purchases. Local markets, night markets, and shopping districts in Taipei are offering various discounts and promotions to enhance the shopping experience for consumers during this period. Over 350,000 vouchers will be distributed in the first wave, aiming to stimulate spending and boost the local economy.
