Taipei City's First Funeral Home, in operation for 60 years, held a ceremony for the start of its demolition today with plans to transform the site into a temporary parking lot and a park, to be completed by November. Future usage of the site will be determined by the city government before applying for land use change. Suggestions for the site include public use, governmental offices, or commercial purposes. The building will be torn down to make way for newer developments after serving the community for over six decades.
