On the night of June 23, 2024, a fire broke out in the Diamond Building on Kangding Road in Wanhua District, Taipei, with smoke seen billowing from the top floor. The fire was extinguished by the fire department with no casualties. The initial investigation suggests that the fire might have been caused by the oxidation of cables from the base station on the 12th floor rooftop due to the hot weather. Further investigation is ongoing to confirm the exact cause of the fire.
