The Taipei Film Festival has announced its competition selection, with "A Journey in Spring" representing Taiwan in the international competition section. Directed by Peng Tzu-hui and Wang Ping-wen, the film stars King Jieh-wen and Yang Kuei-mei and was shot on Super 16 mm film stock. The festival, running from June 21 to July 6, will also feature other competition titles and a new talent competition judged by Wang Xiaoshuai and other industry professionals. Additionally, Bytedance has decided not to sell its Moonton games unit and is appointing a new CEO, while the Eye Catcher Global mini-festival in Hong Kong will focus on promoting indie films with unique visions.
