Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung from Taiwan were ranked 66th, 72nd, and 74th, respectively, in the 2024 Global Liveability Index by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). The index evaluates five main categories, with Vienna clinching the top spot for three consecutive years. All three Taiwanese cities scored above 80, with improvements in healthcare contributing to their higher rankings this year. Western Europe leads in livability, while Asia and Eastern Europe show progress in certain aspects.
