The president of Taipei National University of the Arts, Chen Kai-huang, was recently accused by former president Yang Chi-wen of awarding contracts to his own son, potentially violating the Public Servants' Conflict of Interests Avoidance Act. Following a report to the Control Yuan by the university, the Ministry of Education has reportedly initiated a cross-departmental investigation into the matter. Chen is alleged to have favored relatives in procurement decisions, prompting an official inquiry into potential violations of the law.
