Public Television News Network reported on June 19, 2024 at 1:24 am that the police raided a commercial office late at night, where many people were gathered around poker tables playing Texas Hold'em. The police found out that the casino was involved in illegal profiteering. Apart from more than 10 gamblers being caught in the middle of the game, several female dealers and staff members were also present, and a Mr. Tsai, the person in charge, was arrested on the spot. It was revealed that the casino was hidden in the basement of a building on Guangfu South Road in Taipei. The police received a tip-off that the casino recruited members under the guise of a poker association, organizing illegal gambling activities while pretending to be hosting tournaments. The police also seized over 630,000 NTD in confiscated cash, documents, cash counting machines, surveillance cameras, and over 800,000 NTD worth of poker chips. Following the police search, the involved casino announced on Instagram that it would be temporarily closed for maintenance. Investigations suggested that the casino was possibly funded and operated by three poker players and internet personalities, namely 'Xiaoliu,' 'Allen Poker,' and 'I.C. Charlie,' with I.C. Charlie's girlfriend being the well-known YouTuber 'Dimei.' Charlie stated that he was only involved in live streaming operations and denied being the casino's mastermind, while Dimei issued a statement denying any involvement with the case and stating her disapproval of gambling activities.
