On June 26, the Taiwan Coast Guard spotted and drove away Chinese coast guard ships in the waters near Kinmen. Retired Lieutenant General Hua Min criticized the coast guard's actions as an 'Ah Q-style victory method' lacking significance to the public, suggesting that a collision could be resolved through diplomatic negotiations without causing a war. In response, the coast guard sternly refuted this claim, stating that such actions would violate international law and worsen cross-strait relations. They emphasized their duty to defend Taiwan's sovereignty and maintain maritime security, urging unity among citizens to safeguard national interests and counter China's cognitive warfare tactics.
