According to FTNN News on June 9th, 2024, Taiwan's CPC Corporation will raise gasoline and diesel prices by 0.1 NT each starting at midnight on the 10th. Prices per liter will be 29.3 NTD for 92 unleaded gasoline, 30.8 NTD for 95 unleaded gasoline, 32.8 NTD for 98 unleaded gasoline, and 26.8 NTD for super diesel. This adjustment is due to the activation of the dual-spring stability mechanism, absorbing 1.5 NT and 2.8 NT respectively. The move aims to maintain prices below neighboring Asian countries like Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore. International oil prices fell, triggering a slight price increase locally despite a drop in the 7D3B benchmark. CPC has absorbed a total of approximately 129.43 billion NTD in price adjustments in the year so far, with further updates expected in the coming weeks.
