Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) expressed frustration over China delaying the probe into the detention of Taiwanese soldier Hu, who is being held due to his military status after straying into Chinese waters while fishing. Hu's family appeals for his release, urging President Lai Ching-te to prioritize the case. The MAC criticized the Chinese Communist Party for hindering the investigation by not cooperating with judicial procedures and plans to provide consolation money to Hu's family while demanding his immediate release.
