The Ministry of Education in Taiwan presented a report at the Legislative Yuan addressing the increasing concerns of student drug abuse and school bullying. With a 20% rise in student drug abuse cases in 2023, reaching 483 cases, the ministry plans to improve capabilities of educational personnel, reporting mechanisms, and counseling services as well as initiate a three-tier prevention strategy to combat drug infiltration. Efforts also include raising awareness on bullying prevention and strengthening intervention mechanisms to create safer environments for students.
