Taiwan Expands Export Control to Russia-made Goods

Reported 8 months ago

In order to prevent Taiwan's high-tech products from being used for military purposes in Russia, Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs has been expanding and revising export controls on goods to Russia and Belarus since 2023. Recently, nitrocellulose has been added to the list of controlled items, effective from June 14. Companies need to apply for export permits for strategic high-tech items and must not export to Russia or Belarus without approval. Failure to comply may result in penalties. This measure aims to prevent the misuse of Taiwan's high-tech goods for military weaponry production in Russia and Belarus.
