Taiwan High Speed Rail is offering a special 'Nantou Starry Sky Festival' package for the summer holidays, where travelers can enjoy a cool retreat to Nantou and stargazing experiences. The package includes Friday or Saturday departures and a night's stay at either Xitou Yaokai Forest Resort or Xitou Metasequoia Hotel, with a complimentary guided tour of the Xitou Nature Education Park for nighttime stargazing exploration. Travelers can opt for a comprehensive tour package or a self-drive option, both starting from 3,790 TWD per person. Additionally, there are special stargazing trips to Hehuan Mountain available for star enthusiasts, starting from 4,937 TWD per person for a 2-day tour from Taipei to Nantou's Cingjing area. The itineraries feature guided stargazing tours and visits to scenic spots such as Cingjing Farm and Swiss Garden, allowing travelers to immerse themselves in the beauty of the starry sky and the charm of the Nantou region.
