Former chairman of Taiwan Land Development Company, Chiu Fusheng, was searched and called in for questioning by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office following allegations of creating false transaction records during a financial crisis, suspected of violating securities laws. The company, founded in 1964 and listed in 1999, faced financial difficulties starting in 2021 and eventually got delisted on August 4, 2022, after failing to repay debts amounting to over 4 billion NTD, leading to several financial institutions blacklisting them.
