Taiwan Legislator Accused of Tampering with Lock, Han Kuo-yu Deems the Allegation 'Quite Serious', Huang Kuo-Chieh Counters: Is it More Serious Than You Beating Chen Shui-bian?

Reported about 1 year ago

Legislator Huang Kuo-Chieh faced accusations from blue camp members for allegedly tampering with a lock to enter a meeting room prematurely, prompting House Speaker Han Kuo-yu to state that the situation is 'quite serious' and will be thoroughly investigated. In response, Huang retorted on Facebook, questioning Han whether his actions are more serious than past violent behaviors such as assaulting Chen Shui-bian. Huang claimed she legally entered the room without causing any damage to the lock or using a master key. She urged Han to stop targeting her and investigate why the Kuomintang interfered with parliamentary staff, illegally altered meeting rooms, and even damaged public property. Huang stressed that the Kuomintang's actions are the real misconduct in drafting and handling the recall law. She reminded Han several times not to diminish himself and play a subordinate role like Hsu Fu-Hsi, but to be a responsible House Speaker and uphold objectivity and neutrality in conducting legislative affairs.
