According to a report by the Ministry of National Defense, Taiwan purchased 400 FGM-148 Javelin missiles from the US in June 2024, with an original delivery schedule of 112 years but later moved up to this year. The Ministry reported to the legislature that 251 missiles have been delivered, 51 ahead of schedule. However, experts pointed out that the progress report reflects newly adjusted schedules rather than the original ones, with delays in some major purchases due to various reasons such as manufacturer issues and testing delays by the US military.
