Reported about 1 year ago

On July 6, 2024, in the early hours, Cheng Wen Tsan, Chairman of the SEF and former Mayor of Taoyuan City, was suspected of being involved in a corruption case related to land development. After overnight interrogation, prosecutors requested detention without contact which was later granted with a bail of 5 million, restrictions on residence, travel, and communication with other defendants, suspects, or witnesses in the case.
