A Taiwan Railway's New Taroko Express train collided with a landslide in Hualien, stopping inside the Qingshui Tunnel, resulting in the driver and 8 passengers sustaining minor injuries. Passengers recounted the frightening experience of the train abruptly braking, continuing to collide with the tunnel wall before stopping. The incident caused delays and discomfort to 525 passengers, who were later provided with a full refund by Taiwan Railways. Rescue efforts and repairs are ongoing in the area.
