A recent blackout on Xiao Liuqiu Island in Pingtung County, Taiwan, has raised concerns about power outages, particularly during the upcoming peak tourism season. Following this incident, Legislator Hsu Fu-Kuei urged Taiwan Power Company to assess the island's power structure. The Economy Ministry has announced plans to double the power supply on Xiao Liuqiu by next summer, with six generators already prepared for this summer. The island, with over a million visitors annually, recently experienced a power outage affecting over 4,000 households due to a sudden increase in power demand during holiday periods.
