Taiwan's Latest Poll on Nuclear Power: Non-Nuclear Homeland Policy Relies on Minority Support

Reported 8 months ago

According to a recent poll conducted by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, Taiwanese attitudes towards the 'non-nuclear homeland' policy have shifted, with 45.8% opposing and 42.4% supporting the policy. This reveals the lack of consensus within Taiwanese society on the non-nuclear policy, showing more opposition than support. The government's current non-nuclear policy is based on minority support. Various demographics, including age groups, education levels, occupations, and political party affiliations, show differing levels of support for the policy. The survey was conducted from June 11 to 13, 2024, with 1070 participants. The margin of error was approximately +/- 3 percentage points.
