Due to the suspension of production by Yung Fong Chemical Co., which holds a 70% market share, Taiwan is facing a shortage of IV solutions, essential for dialysis and surgeries. To address this, the National Health Insurance Administration has decided to invest 50 million to encourage local manufacturers to increase production and secured the import of 100,000 bottles/pouches of IV solutions. With a total expenditure of 300 million, the initiative aims to ensure a stable supply from June to July and support the domestic 500C.C. IV solution market, with prices elevated during the project period and a review planned for future pricing adjustments.
