The head of Taiwan's opposition Kuomintang (KMT) called on the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to align with public sentiment and uphold democratic reform principles after the Legislative Yuan rejected legislative reform bills proposed by the Executive Yuan. KMT Chairman Eric Chu emphasized the importance of these reforms backed by KMT and Taiwan People's Party legislators, urging the DPP to reconnect with its foundational goals of democratic reform and warning of intensified efforts if the DPP continues to resist reform.
